About the Distinguished Club Program (DCP)

What is the Distinguished Club Program?

The Distinguished Club Program (DCP) is a recognition program administered by Toastmasters International (TI). TI tracks the progress of clubs in meeting educational, membership and training and administrative goals. TI recognizes clubs based on the number of goals achieved during the period July 1 through June 30.

The DCP works hand-in-hand with the club mission by providing a structured, supportive meeting environment that is productive and fun for all members. As members set and meet educational goals, they develop confidence and critical communication and leadership skills, inspiring others to do the same. The club’s focus on individual and collective achievement also helps build team spirit and club pride that is infectious and self-sustaining.

What are the recognitions that a Club can earn?

There are 3 different levels of recognition that a club can earn through the Distinguished Club Program. They are:

Distinguished Club. Clubs that have achieved 5 of the 10 goals and meet the membership requirements.

Select Distinguished Club. Clubs that have achieved 7 of the 10 goals and meet the membership requirements.

President’s Distinguished Club. Clubs that have achieved 9 of the 10 goals and meet the membership requirements.

What are benefits to individual members if their Club is Distinguished?

Distinguished Clubs tend to be successful and strong clubs of which members enjoy being a part. It shows that members of these clubs are completing manuals and receiving recognition and the club is continually growing and improving through its members.

Speakeasy Toastmasters meets on every 3rd Tuesday of the month, bar December.
